Robert Quirk has over 50 years of experience in sugar cane in Australia .He is actively involved in research and development and has developed worlds best practice for growing sugar cane in acid sulfate soils landscapes. He has received many awards for his work both Nationally and Internationally. Currently he sits of the board of a British company
(Bonsucro) for developing sustainable practices for growing sugar cane globally. He represents farmers on the Queensland agricultural consultative Committee a BoM initiative. He also represents sugar in the Climate Champions program an initiative of MCV . He has been an invited speaker in 24 countries to speak on sustainable agriculture."
